
Probably PLR’s most popular class! Some estimates
suggest that in our lifetimes, we’ll influence a minimum
of 10,000 people! If you’re good at influencing, you
are able to get what you want or need while increasing trust
and decreasing defensiveness. Being able to confront someone—about
their work performance, behavior or other important issue—without
conflict is not something we normally learn. In fact, many
people will tell you they’ll do anything to avoid
confrontation—the outcome is that we’re less
likely to get the results we desire and our internal stress
becomes worse. This class also emphasizes influencing up
and influencing peers, as well as influencing those we supervise
or manage. People love this class because the skills, practice
and philosophy get at the heart of influencing others with
respect and ethics.
